Welcome to Scribemind!
I'm delighted to unveil my new website! For the past several years, I've had a fairly scattered web presence for my various projects and knew it was high time to bring everything I do under one umbrella. (How many Mailchimp accounts does one person need?!)
What is Scribemind?
"Scribemind" is the business name I use on paperwork but not really a name I've used publicly. I chose it years ago because I like how it sounds and that it refers to two of my primary livelihoods: writing and research. Everything I do as a creative person falls under those two labels and Scribemind encompasses all of that and more for me.
I've had blogs in the past but struggled to stay within one niche. It never quite felt right to me to have a blog that was ONLY about writing or ONLY about research (for example). It's taken me years to find a way to weave the various aspects of my career and identity together in a way that feels authentic but also neatly curated.
Branding Scribemind
A peek at the Pinterest board I started until I was like, “Meh, let’s wing it!”
When I decided to redo my website, I wasn't sure whether to start completely from scratch or repurpose branding elements from my existing web presences.
What did I want Scribemind to evoke? Usually, branding a project takes me hours of brainstorming and moodboarding, but this one came easy: I just wanted it to feel like me.
What if I just picked imagery and typography that I liked and kept it simple? My personal aesthetic is classic-meets-modern and I gravitate toward anything that combines those. I did just start Goldie Chan’s “Transform Your Personal Brand” course so there may be some minor updates to the look of the site in the near future, but I don’t imagine that I’ll be rebranding again any time soon.

I’ll also be adding some videos to select posts, which is an avenue I’m looking forward to exploring!
Ultimately, I hope my website becomes a source of comfort and inspiration for readers. Scribemind is more than a website to me; it's a birds eye view of who I am and what I do. Thanks for joining me on this adventure!
